🎉 WINNERSWhat Is a Random Name Picker?
The random name picker selects one or more winners from a list of names. It is useful for giveaways, classroom choices, office events, prize draws and everyday decisions about who goes first.
When each name appears once, everyone has the same chance. The selection uses your browser's secure random number generator and does not depend on the order of the list.
How to Run a Name Draw
- Enter or paste one name per line.
- Choose the number of winners and, if you need them, the number of backups.
- Keep “Count duplicate names once” enabled if the same name may appear more than once.
- Select Start the Draw. Winners and backups are listed in order.
- Download the result as an image or share it on WhatsApp.
What Are Backups?
Backups replace a winner, in order, when that winner cannot claim the prize. Nobody is selected as both a winner and a backup in the same draw.
Which Tool Should You Use?
To show the selection as an animation, use the name wheel. To put everyone in order, use the random ranking generator. To split people into groups, use the random team generator, and for a gift exchange use the Secret Santa generator.
